หลังจากที่ลูกไม่ออนกรีนแล้ว ลูกจะไปอยู่ตามจุดต่างๆ ซึ่งอาจจะใกล้ หรือไกลจากพื้นผิวกรีน อยู่ ณ ตำแหน่งที่มีหญ้าสั้น หรืออยู่ตรงที่มีหญ้ายาว ผู้เล่นจะต้องตัดสินใจ จะเลือกเล่นด้วยวิธีใด ให้ลูกลอยหรือลูกวิ่งไปกับพื้น ในกรณีที่ลูกเลยขอบฟรินจ์ออกไป แต่ไม่ไกลจากขอบกรีนมากนัก พื้นที่บนกรีนมีที่วิ่งไปหาหลุมอีกไกล ขอแนะนำว่าอ่านต่อ
