น.ส.ศุภิชชา ชัยพิพัฒน์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ กลุ่มบริษัทซีคอน โฮม ผู้ดำเนินธุรกิจรับสร้างบ้าน เปิดเผยว่า ภาพรวมการดำเนินธุรกิจของกลุ่มบริษัทซีคอน โฮม ในช่วง 4 เดือนแรกปี 2555 เป็นไปตามคาดการณ์ คือ สามารถสร้างยอดขายได้ 413 ล้านบาท รวม 109 หลัง ราคาเฉลี่ยต่อหลังอยู่ที่ 3.8 ล้านบาท โดยยอดขายดังกล่าวมาจาก ซีคอน โฮม 260 ล้านบาทอ่านต่อ

นางพัชรา ตัณฑยรรยง นายกสมาคมธุรกิจรับสร้างบ้าน เปิดเผยว่า ปัจจุบันตลาดรวมของบ้านสร้างเองในเขตกรุงเทพฯและปริมณฑลมีมูลค่าประมาณ 55,000 ล้านบาทต่อปี โดยบริษัทรับสร้างบ้านมีสัดส่วนอยู่ที่ประมาณ 11,000 ล้านบาท หรือ 20% ชี้ให้เห็นว่ามูลค่าตลาดอีกกว่า 80% หรือประมาณ 44,000 ล้านบาท เป็นของผู้รับเหมาอิสระอ่านต่อ
